This week, Year 10 student Bella competed at the Centenary Heights State High School athletics carnival. On Wednesday, in perfect weather conditions, Bella competed in Shot Put and had a dream competition with no foul throws and each throw going further. It was a competitive field and Bella was thrilled to come away with first place.
On day two of the athletics carnival, Bella competed in both Discuss and Javelin. The competitors had to deal with a strong head wind and once again all of Bella's throws were measured and she threw further with each attempt. Bella excitedly won first for both Discuss and Javelin. The win in Discuss was extra special as she had the support of her fellow Year 10 peers cheering her on.
Congratulations Bella on winning all three throwing events!!!
Thank you to CHSHS for providing the opportunity for Flexi young people to compete at these major school events and for running such a fabulous athletics carnival.
