On Tuesday 1 June, Team Flexi commenced the National Push-Up Challenge for Mental Health. During the first 25 days of June, each team member will complete 3,318 push-ups to raise awareness and funds for Mental Health. This number, 3,318 represents the number of lives lost due to Mental Health in the last year in Australia.
As a school community we are participating in this challenge to reinforce to our young people that it is okay to talk about the way they are feeling and that it is not weak to speak.
Team Flexi is made of up students and staff from both of our campuses, Toowoomba Flexi School and Centenary Heights State High School, who share a common goal of raising funds for Lifeline Darling Downs & South West QLD. The goal of raising $500 has already been achieved and we would like to thank everyone that has donated to Lifeline and this worthy cause.
If you wish to donate to Lifeline Darling Downs, so they can continue to assist the community in which we live and continue to raise awareness for Mental Health, please visit https://www.thepushupchallenge.com.au/team/6805-team-flexi
