The Toowoomba Flexi School Intergenerational Gardening Project was established by Mentor, Keith Jordan in 2004. This was in response to the overwhelming interest in engaging in skills-based learning and sharing a wonderful variety of meals created from 'plot to plate'.

The Garden Project continues to this day with assistance of Mentor, Chris Martin. Chris is our resident kitchen-garden guru on campus. Chris works closely with our young people in our extensive vegetable garden that they have helped design, maintain and harvest.

Chris has been involved with the Intergenerational Gardening Project since 2019 and continues to expand this program and is a valued community volunteer at Toowoomba Flexi School. We look forward to the expansion of the Flexi Intergenerational Gardening Project and together continue to prepare fresh, nutritious and delicious food for our community from our garden.
