With the Toowoomba Flexi School Intergenerational Mentoring Program continuing in 2023, our young people took some time out to reflect on the qualities of a good mentor. Some of these young people will be new to our mentoring program whilst others will continue to connect with a mentor assigned from the previous year.
Overwhelmingly, our young people identified characteristics such as a good listener, valuing diversity of perspectives, honesty and willing to gift time to developing others as traits of an excellent mentor. With the mentoring program now in its 13th year, and with over 30 active mentors in the program, we again look forward offering this program of excellence.
